Spring has arrived in Japan, and the popular Kirby Cafe has added limited cherry blossom-themed items to their menu in celebration of the season. The result is a mix of adorable pastel pink food and drinks that are almost too pretty to consume.

Sakura-inspired pasta

The Sky and Sun World Tree Pasta (Â¥1,430, ~USD11.79) consists of sakura and shrimp sauce topped with an abundance of romanesco, corn, and salted sakura flakes.

This savoury shrimpy goodness not only tantalises our palettes, but is also a sight to behold.

Cherry and berry-filled dessert

The Cherry & Berry Tart (Â¥1,100, ~USD9.07) was inspired by the desserts that Kirby and his friends would enjoy together at a picnic in spring. The tart consists of caramelised apples hidden under a generous helping of blueberries and cherries, served with whipped cream on the side.

Refreshing sakura drink

Spring Breeze & Friends (Â¥700, ~USD5.77) is a refreshing drink that combines the sweetness of sakura jelly and white peach with the sourness of lemon.

For an extra ¥330 (~USD2.72), you can even get a special Kirby mascot that looks like it’s devouring your drink as it sits on your straw.
