Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel
In 2019, we bade farewell to Toy Story after its final feature film was released. Luckily, the decades-old franchise will live on in another way – Tokyo Disney Resort announced plans to build a new Toy Story hotel in 2018. Fast forward 3 years, and the resort officially confirmed the hotel’s name as the Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel on 6th April 2021.
Opening this year, it will be the 5th hotel to join Tokyo Disney Resort – Japan’s popular theme park and resort area. When its doors are open, you’ll get the chance to reunite with your old friends Buzz and Woody as they appear around the hotel, possibly as statues and posters. You can also enjoy a relaxing stay in guest rooms that are as vibrant as Andy’s bedroom in the movie.

The world of Toy Story is colourful and child-like, and it is nowhere as apparent as in Andy’s room, where the toys reside.

As Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel is themed around the Disney animated classic, you can expect to see guest rooms with interior designs that are equally playful and lively as the magical world of Toy Story.

Currently, there are no designs released for the guest rooms yet. But we can look to the Toy Story Hotel in Shanghai Disney Resort for a glimpse of how the rooms may potentially look like – with colourful furniture, wallpaper and bed sheets featured there.

A Toy Story-themed hotel wouldn’t be complete without Woody and Buzz, so we’re speculating that you will be able to find framed photos, paintings and statues of them scattered throughout the hotel, like the one in Shanghai.

New Toy Story hotel opening in Disney Resort
Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel will be located near Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. Specifically, it is directly in front of the Bayside Station along the Disneyland Resort Line – a route that runs within the resort. This short distance from the station makes the hotel very accessible from other attractions in Tokyo Disney Resort.
Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel is slated to open in 2021, but the opening date is not confirmed.
Correction: A previous version of this article indicated that the hotel is directly in front of Bayfront Station. It has been corrected to Bayside Station.
