Titans from the popular anime Attack on Titan are gigantic humanoid creatures that feed on human flesh. However, it seems as if their diets have changed to a trash-centric one after arriving in our world as Attack on Titan trash cans.
Coca-Cola x Attack on Titan collaboration project

Coca-Cola is collaborating with Attack on Titan as part of the CHANGE FOR THE BLUE Project, which aims to raise awareness on the importance of reducing waste in the oceans. As part of the project, they have set up a female Titan-shaped trash can next to a Coca-Cola vending machine in Oita prefecture.

This collaboration project was conceived because people have been using the recycling bins near vending machines as trash cans. The freakishly eye-catching design of the trash can is meant to grab one’s attention and serve as a grim reminder that they shouldn’t throw unrecyclable trash into recycling bins.
An illustration of Captain Levi accompanies the Titan-shaped trash can, firmly telling you to only feed the Titan with trash and not recyclable items such as cans, plastic bottles, and glass bottles.

The Titan-shaped trash can is placed next to a Coca-Cola vending machine located near the north exit of Oita station, and will be there until 22th November 2021.

The female Titan trash can is actually the second of its kind – earlier this year, Coca-Cola installed a male Titan-shaped recycling bin in Oita prefecture. This recycling bin – not a garbage bin – is located outside the Dairyuu ramen store near Oita train station, and will be there until 22th November 2021.

The reason why Oita prefecture was chosen as the location for these Attack on Titan related projects is because it is the birthplace of Hajime Isayama, the author of the series.
Perhaps someday, Oita will be known as the Attack on Titan prefecture, just like how the town of Karumai is now known as the real life Haikyuu!! town.
Feed the Attack on Titan trash can in Oita prefecture
All Attack on Titan fans in Oita should take this chance to do their part to feed the trash Titans before they get hungry and leave to attack Paradis Island again.
