History of Farm Tomita

With a history hailing back from as far as 1952, Farm Tomita’s now-famed lavender cultivation is the work of Tadao Tomita, the grandson of the farm’s founder, Tokuma Tomita.

In the summer of 1958, Tadao planted the first lavender field in Farm Tomita with his beloved wife, Sachiko. Despite the ups and downs that have affected the lavender cultivation industry, Farm Tomita has persisted and thrived.
