Chugai Grace Cafe: Themed Cafe That Collabs With A New Anime Monthly

Anime fans out there who aren’t satisfied with just the 12 or 24-odd episodes of each series can check out Chugai Grace Cafe to satiate your cravings. Every month, the cafe offers comfort food themed after a different anime series, including titles such as the classic Detective Conan and the trending Spy x Family.

Since early 2021, Chugai Grace Cafe has been dishing out anime collab menu items that are refreshed every month. Thus far, the cafe has worked with several popular anime series including Spy x Family, Kuroko’s Basketball, and Bleach.

From 23rd Dec 2022 to 15th Jan 2023, Chugai Grace Cafe teamed up with the popular Sword Art Online franchise to bring diners dishes and drinks such as Kirito’s Black Curry and a strawberry milkshake inspired by Lisbeth.

This time round, from 27th Jan to 19th Feb, the cafe is working with Prince Cat from Uta no Prince-sama. Hearty fare such as pastrami beef burger and corn soup (¥1,400, ~USD10.62) and meatball bolognese (¥1,400, ~USD10.62) will be on sale, and each purchase comes with a Prince Cat-themed A3-sized luncheon mat. Drinks such as the Chocolate Mint Cream (¥900, ~USD6.83) and Burnt Caramel Coffee (¥900, ~USD6.83) come with a Prince Cat-themed coaster.

Each customer can order up to 5 drinks per visit in-store, and 6 drinks if they’re taking it to go. There’s a surcharge of ¥50 (~USD0.38) per cup for takeaway drinks.

In order to visit the cafe, it’s recommended that visitors sign up for a Chugai Grace Cafe account and make a reservation online. Otherwise, you may not be able to secure a seat. In addition, diners can only stay in the cafe for 80 minutes per visit.
