Marleyan Red Wine From Attack On Titan Is Now On Sale; Makers Assure That There’s No Side Effect

Marleyan red wine

In the spine-chilling Attack on Titan universe, it’s best to think twice before sipping any glass of red wine. Fortunately, things are different in the real world – Japanese liquor store Kurand is selling actual Marleyan red wine that’s much safer than its anime counterpart.

Kurand’s Marleyan red wine is produced by Kobe Winery. It’s a renowned winery that opened in 1983 and has about 40 hectares of dedicated cropland for wine production.

The red wine is made with 2 wine grape varieties – Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Cabernet Sauvignon is a popular variety used in the making of red wines. Its taste ranges from hints of black pepper to bell pepper. Meanwhile, Merlot is equally popular and generally has a fruitier taste.

The grapes used for the red wine are cultivated in Kobe, aged in wine barrels for 18 months, and then hand-squeezed by the winery.

According to Kurand, the wine has a dry finish and is best paired with seafood, such as fish, shellfish, and shrimps. Each bottle measures 750ml and contains 12% alcohol.
