Fans of the Kaguya-sama anime have something to look forward to this Christmas, as its film adaptation, Kaguya-sama: Love is War – The First Kiss Never Ends, is set to air in movie theatres in Japan on 17th December.
The premiere date was announced via the Kaguya-sama official Twitter account on 30th October, alongside a new movie trailer release.
The Kaguya-sama anime series is a rom-com that follows fellow student council members Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane as they embroil themselves in needlessly complicated mind games to bait the other party into confessing first.
To date, Kaguya-sama has a total of 3 anime seasons worth of fruitless love shenanigans with no payoff for shippers of the couple.

Nevertheless, airing as a special movie adaptation of Kaguya-sama, Kaguya-sama: Love is War – The First Kiss Never Ends shows promise in finally getting a confession out of the obstinate female protagonist, Shinomiya.
In the new movie trailer, Shinomiya is heard earnestly saying, “nee, kaichō. Anata ga suki.” (ねえ、会長。あんたが好き), which translates to “(Student council) president, I love you.”
