It features a sleek reversible cardigan and a stylish crossbody bag so that you can roam the city streets as a dashing samurai.

The kimono cardigan is a 2-way jacket that incorporates many Rurouni Kenshin references. On one side, you get a deep indigo cardigan that corresponds to the black kimono that Kenshin wore during his time as an assassin.

The other side is maroon cardigan resembling the current kimono he wears as a redemption-seeking samurai.

You’d also find Kenshin’s iconic facial scar plastered embroidered on the chest and printed on the right shoulder area of the deep indigo and maroon sides respectively.

There are easter eggs found in the small woven labels along the sleeves too. On the indigo side, you have a cherry blossom design that symbolises the renewal of Kenshin’s identity as he sheds his dark past. Meanwhile, the label on the maroon side depicts 2 crossed katana, alluding to the life-changing battle that put Kenshin on the path of redemption.

The collaboration also features a snazzy crossbody bag. Its design is inspired by Rurouni Kenshin motifs, including the navy blue and red colour scheme of Kenshin’s kimono, his facial scar, and his trademark katana.

Pre-orders for the official Rurouni Kenshin x SuperGroupies collaboration goods started on 11th May 2021 and will close on 31st May 2021 at 12PM JST. The cardigan will be delivered around end-August 2021, while the bag will be delivered around end-September 2021. Order them here.
