Having released its first anime episode in 2002, Naruto is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. To commemorate the occasion, the anime series dropped a special trailer of its characters’ iconic scenes and news of a pop-up gallery that will be opened in December.
To kickstart Naruto’s 20th anniversary celebrations, the Naruto official Twitter account released a special trailer on 3rd October. The 10-minute trailer collates some of the anime series’ most iconic scenes, from Naruto and Sasuke’s first fight to Jiraiya’s death.

Playing in the background are popular opening songs in past seasons of Naruto, including Blue Bird, GO!!!, and Silhouette.

In response to the trailer, fans commented how grateful they were for the thoughtful gift.

Fans can expect a Naruto pop-up gallery at Akiba Square from 10th December to 31st January 2023. The gallery will feature large screen image displays of climatic scenes in Naruto, a special collab with trending filmmakers who have yet to be revealed, and 20th anniversary merch sales. As of now, details about the merch haven’t been released.

Event admission tickets can be purchased via the official Naruto gallery website. From 6th September till 25th October, fans can pay an extra ¥1,500 (~USD10.36) on top of the admission ticket price to get a goods redemption ticket. The bonus ticket is exchangeable for Naruto-themed sports towels and sticker sets, with 2 designs to choose from, during admission to the venue.
