Sukiya, Japan’s largest gyudon (beef bowl) chain restaurant, recently teamed up with popular anime Demon Slayer to create character-inspired dishes, as well as exclusive merchandise.

The Tanjiro-inspired chicken bowl consists of a generous helping of spring onions and mayo atop a bed of mouth-watering charcoal grilled chicken.

Sukiya even provides you with seaweed cut into tiny squares so you can arrange them to resemble Tanjiro’s iconic green chequered robes.

Many customers have ordered the Tanjiro-inspired chicken bowl and posted their DIY seaweed renditions on Instagram. Perhaps you could use this opportunity to show off your seaweed-placing precision and skills!

You can upgrade any regular rice bowl you order by topping up ¥180 (~USD1.57). In return, you will receive a water-breathing-inspired white grape jelly drink and a random original character card.

You can also top up ¥220 (~USD1.91) with the purchase of any regular menu item to receive a random character notebook and sticker set, as well as cut apples and one of the four drinks choices available: rice tea, black oolong tea, vegetable and fruit juice, and apple juice.

Although this collaboration applies to all Sukiya outlets in Japan, only the Ikebukuro branch went all out and redecorated the place to make it Demon Slayer.

Besides having the usual cut-outs of Demon Slayer characters in the store, there are also purple wisterias hanging from the ceiling. With the demon-repellent wisterias present in the store, you can finish your meal in peace.
