Light Flower Garden illumination in Japan

Over the years, winter illumination events have become well-loved and highly anticipated all over Japan. One notable example is the Light Flower Garden at Ashikaga Flower Park, a winter illumination event that’s held annually.

Due to COVID-19, many popular illumination events have been cancelled. But the one at Ashikaga Flower Park is still ongoing from 17th October 2020 to 7th February 2021, and it is a beautiful sight not to be missed.

The Light Flower Garden illumination event will be held at Ashikaga Flower Park from 17th October 2020 to 7th February 2021. This year marks the 19th anniversary of the event where over 5 million lights are used all across the 100,000m² garden – the size of 18 football fields – each year.

The park uses mainly LED lights for their event, which are more environmentally friendly and energy-efficient compared to incandescent lights.

The second theme is based on Christmas and will run from late November to the end of December. The final one is a special New Year’s theme event which will take place from New Year’s Day to 7th February 2021
