Sanrio Puroland in Tokyo

Spanning 4 storeys, Sanrio Puroland is an indoor theme park that’s dedicated to the wildly adorable characters of the Sanrio universe.

Like most amusement parks, Sanrio Puroland offers the usual lineup of attractions, though the most popular ride is the Sanrio Character Boat Ride on the second floor. There, visitors can sail down in a boat while they watch Sanrio mascots dance and make merry along the way.

At the Character Greeting Residence in Puro Village, you can meet your favourite characters, talk to them, and even score a commemorative photo. The rotating line-up is updated on Sanrio Puroland’s website regularly, so be sure to take a look in advance if there are any characters you’d love to meet.

Due to the sheer amount of activities and performances, we highly recommend trying to get to the theme park slightly before opening time to get the most out of your day.

Daily live performances, as well as their showtimes and locations, can be found on the official Puroland site. Do check it out before your visit as this will be useful if you want to decide what to prioritise. It’s best to have at least a rough plan of the attractions that you want to visit in order to make sure your day goes smoothly.
