Get ready to put your life on the line and return to the deadly games. Netflix has confirmed that season 2 of Alice in Borderland, which took the world by storm in 2020, has recently wrapped up filming.

In a short interview clip uploaded by Netflix, the cast members of Alice in Borderland sat down to briefly share about the filming process for season 2. Yamazaki Kento, who plays the protagonist Arisu in the series, teased that the world in the upcoming season has upgraded and is “bigger than ever”.

Usagi’s actress, Tsuchiya Tao, chipped in and shared that the set design this time round was huge and there were even big explosion scenes, which allowed her to fully immerse herself in her character.

A popular live-action adaptation of the manga with the same title, Alice in Borderland is an action-packed survival series that follows a bunch of characters desperately fighting their way through a brutal life-or-death game set in Tokyo.
First aired in December 2020 on Netflix, the series received positive reception, earning praises for its world-building, cinematography, and well-written plot. Though the first season ended on a cliffhanger with more questions raised than ever, fans can expect to see mysteries unravel when season 2 of Alice in Borderland hits the streaming site worldwide come December.
Though a concrete date has yet to be confirmed by Netflix, we shouldn’t have to wait too long before we can see the gang back in action again. Until then, be sure to watch the first season if you haven’t already done so.
